We got rats. And they're eating everything, the darn buggers.
My Steampunked mobile phone turned out to be useless the other day when I found out that someone ate the cable for the charger. It was snapped off like you cut it with a scissor.
I would have bought a new charger if they still sold them, but the phone was of a model that was old when I bought it a year ago, so no one's selling any accessories for them any more.

So yesterday I had to go into town and get a new phone. And this time I bought a Skype phone. I can use it as any other mobile phone, but I can also use Skype talk or chat for free So last night I was on the landline with my son from Sweden and on the mobile trying out Skype together with him at the same time
I've got my landline set up so calls abroad in the evening cost nearly nothing (an hour to Sweden is about £1.20), but for that tariff to work I have to be on the phone for an hour or more. Which means that if I want to save money I can't call every week since the subjects would run out fairly quickly.

Which means that Skype will be perfect My son got Skype on his computer, so now I just have to convince him to buy a headset as well. He's got a microphone on his web cam and speakers, but the sound quality is horrible

I'm making a game. A PC game. I'm not much of a gamer myself compared to other people I know, but I'm playing adventure games when I'm bored and got nothing better to do And I'm a big fan of the old kinda games. The simpler the more fun
So I've decided to build my own game based on 2D paintings instead of 3D, which is so common these days.

There will be 16 levels and each "frame" (there's a new frame as soon as there's an event) will be hand painted. Thank heaven's that there's no deadline...haha
Right now I'm working on the opening scene, and I've had the game map done as well. At the same time I'm working on the plot and the story line, and I've come to the conclusion that building a game is very similar to making a film. Except that I don't have to deal with any actors and big egos

I will post some images in the gallery as the backgrounds are coming together, but there won't be any details since that would destroy the game play later on.
Like most Indie games this will be a bit "odd" and hopefully unusual enough to attract people to buy and play it Robin will do the mini games and some of the puzzles inside the game since his mind is logic in a different way than mine. Besides, he's the real gamer in the family here.

I've got a cold since a couple of days that decided to settle down in my ears and throat and it's loads of fun - not. Very painful, that's for sure. No fever or anything, so it's not the flu.
