This is for the Gingerbread House contest here at dA....but also for my gallery (in case it's disqualified for some reason).
I haven't made one of these since Peter (my son) was around 10 years old....and since he's 23 today he's not all that excited about these sort of things anymore
So the reason for it this year is my partners boys. In Sweden this is an old tradition and me and my sis always had one of these from our aunt every year. Always anxious to eat it...lol

This is completely made out of things you can eat, and it took me about 2 days to do. The pieces took one afternoon to make, and then I put it all together and decorated it this afternoon. All together maybe 5-6 hours. It's homemade gingerbread dough, melted sugar as glue, icing, M&M's, some other candy....cookie decorations...cinnamon sticks and orange slices as trees (I know they look like mushrooms...hehe) etc etc.
The pattern for this was made by me and I went for a more traditional style that I remember from when I was a kid.

I'm rather sick and tired of gingerbread dough, but I have half of it left, so tomorrow I'm making ginger snaps.
